On this page you will find some applications that I have had a really good experience with, to use them you will need to download the file then extract the installer to your desktop.  

Disk to Virtual PC, this little application from the Microsoft System Internals team can take a snapshot "while your computer is running using Volume shadow copy" and allow you to create a virtual pc from it. if you are running Windows Xp you will need to tick the "Fix HAL" box to fix the hardware abstraction layer. It is a great little utility for making an image of a computer before it is decomissioned or re allocated to a new person after re-imaging  

Image Resizer Powertoy , Microsoft released a "powertoy" with Windows XP that allowed you to right click on an Image and resize it to the dimensions that you wanted, unfortunatly this powertoy would not work with Vista or Windows 7 ... until now, some clever people have produced a version that will work on all 3 operating systems and here it is.

Performance Test , this application will benchmark your computer by running a number of  real world tests like opening a document , changing font sizes and manipulating images, it will run for 15 Days and at this point you will either need to licence it or uninstall it.  

Cute PDF Writer, this allows you to save any document you have to a PDF file then anyone will be able to view it using Adobe PDF reader www.adobe.com
To install this simply run he cutewriter first , then run the converter, then you will find that you have a new printer under printers in the control panel. When you want to save PDF go to print it in the document then select the Cute PDF Writer as your printer and print , then it will ask you where you would like to save the document.

Folder Sizes, This application shows you where all your storage space has gone - showing you graphs of all your folders and how much space they are taking up, it will run for 15 days then you will need to licence it or uninstall it.
